Cookie Policy

1. About this Cookie Policy

Citrus Education Group Ltd (company number 17267381, registered in England and Wales) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. This policy explains what they are, why we use them, which ones are actually in use, and the choices you have.

It sits alongside how we handle personal information more generally. If anything in this policy is unclear, please contact us.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They let a site remember things such as whether you are signed in. Similar technologies can do the same job in different ways — for example local storage and session storage (small pieces of information saved by your browser), pixels, scripts or tags. Where we refer to “cookies” in this policy, we mean all of these.

3. How we use cookies

At present, this website only uses strictly necessary cookies and storage — the ones needed to sign you in, keep your account secure, run the Holiday Club booking steps, take payment, and remember your cookie choices.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising or marketing technologies on this website, and there are no social media or video embeds that set cookies. Our cookie banner still offers Analytics, Marketing and Functional categories, all switched off by default, so that if we ever introduce them they will only run with your permission.

4. Strictly necessary cookies

These are used only to provide the service you have asked for — signing in to the Parent Portal, keeping your session secure, completing a Holiday Club booking, processing your payment, and storing your cookie preferences. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested do not require consent, which is why they cannot be switched off. They are not used to track you or to advertise to you.

5. Optional cookies

Optional categories are available in our cookie preferences and are off unless you turn them on:

  • Analytics — would help us understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it. No analytics service is in use today.
  • Marketing — would be used for advertising and campaign measurement. No marketing or advertising technologies are in use today.
  • Functional — optional conveniences that are not needed for the site to work. None are in use today.

Because nothing currently sits in these categories, turning them on or off makes no difference to what runs on the site today. If that changes, the relevant technology will only load after you have consented.

6. Third-party technologies

The third-party services actually used by this website are:

  • Stripe Payments Europe Ltd — processes Holiday Club payments (including card and PayPal payments) inside our checkout. Stripe sets its own cookies for fraud prevention and secure payment processing.
  • Supabase — provides our database and sign-in service. Your sign-in token is stored by your own browser; no advertising or tracking cookies are involved.
  • Google Fonts — serves the typeface used on our pages. This does not set cookies, although your device makes a request to Google’s servers to download the font files.

Stripe cookies are only set when you reach the payment step of a booking. Stripe controls their names and durations and may change them; the durations shown are those Stripe currently documents.

8. Managing your preferences

You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using in the footer of any page. Withdrawing optional consent is as easy as giving it, and it will not affect your account, bookings or payments.

You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies and storage will prevent you from signing in to the Parent Portal or completing a booking.

9. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy if the technologies we use change, or if legal requirements change. Where the purposes materially change, we will ask for your consent again.
